Estãƒâ©e Lauder X Duro Night Eyeshadow Palette Review
Disclaimer: The products featured were provided for review.
Last yr, Estee Lauder and Victoria Beckham teamed upwardly to create an sectional, luxury makeup collection (reviewed here) and it sold similar hot cakes. Then the ii are collaborating in one case again this year to release a express edition range of Autumn and Wintertime pieces. Today I have a few products from the collection to share with yous. To see some swatches and read my reviews, click......
Victoria Beckham Estee Lauder Eye Palette ($98 CAD):
Packaged in a luxurious faux-leather covered gold meaty, the Centre Palette contains four pressed shadows each weighing at 2g. You get a sheer white shimmer (
), a matte soft grey (
Gris), a soft matte black (
Noir), and a plummy dark-brown satin (
Bordeaux). Interestingly, although all four shades are super creamy and soft to the bear on, the formulation is rather sheer. Gris barely shows upwardly and when I used a fluffy blending castor to lightly dig upward more product from the pan, visible chunks savage out. Bordeaux, on the other hand, looks super gorgeous and multi-dimensional in the pan but when worn on the lids, it appears wearisome and bland.
Additionally, I detect the combination of the four shades to exist quite strange. Bordeaux, particularly, just doesn't fit with the balance. I tried to create a total await using all the shades but just couldn't come up with anything half-decent. Blanc is way too sheer and sparkly to exist used as a browbone highlight and neither Gris nor Bordeaux quite works as an all-over the lid color with Noir in the crease. Overall, I am disappointed with this 1. The combination of the sheer formulation and the strange color choice is a large let-down, especially considerating how gorgeous the packaging is.
Victoria Beckham Estee Lauder Eye Metals in "01 Bitter Clove" ($58 CAD):
Housed in a modest gold compact wrapped with a layer of black imitation-leather, the Eye Metals in "
" is a sheer khaki brown pressed eyeshadow. Similar the Center Palette above, the formulation of the Center Metals feels very flossy and silky just the pigmentation is disappointing. There are a lot of shimmer particles simply not enough base pigment to help the sparkles stand out. Overall, it doesn't await great on its ain. You can probably pair it with a similar shade only for a $58 single shadow, I expected a chip more.
Victoria Beckham Estee Lauder Cheek Creme in "01 Blond Mink" ($78 CAD:
Housed in a small gold and leather compact identical to that of the Eye Metals shadow, this is a lightweight cream blush with a matte, not-shimmery finish. In the pan and when swatched on the arm, the color looks rather odd, a lilliputian too orange and a piddling too ho-hum. Nevertheless, "
" wore surprisingly well on the cheeks. Information technology gave a very good for you and sophisticated glow. The pigmentation is just right and the formulation blends seamlessly to a natural matte end. The color wears all day with minimal fading and so all in all, this is definitely a favorite of mine out of this collection.

Victoria Beckham Estee Lauder Peel Perfecting Pulverisation ($110 CAD for 8.5g):
Housed in a hefty, luxurious gold foursquare meaty with a textured metallic finish, the Skin Perfecting Pulverisation is a translucent finishing pulverization with a very lightweight formulation. Although it appears white in the pan, the pulverization has no pigmentation. It feels a footling hard and chalky to the impact but it applies evenly with a brush. This is a very sheer and subtle setting pulverisation. It gently blurs without caking but for those that adopt a softer, more mattifying texture, the powder may be a flake too light. With that said, if you have dry skin or a lot of fine lines, the sheer finish is less likely to emphasize wrinkles or dry patches.
